Manchester United overcame a determined Tottenham side to go top of the Premier League. The Old Trafford side had two Ryan Giggs penalties to thank for their victory which puts them ahead of Chelsea at least until the west London side takes on Stoke City on Sunday.After a quiet first half Patrice Evra was felled in the box by Benoit Assou Ekotto and veteran Giggs made no mistake from the spot.
