Review: Sleek MakeUp Kajal Liners

Now these are an interesting product. The Sleek MakeUp Kajal Liners currently are only available in two shades from the Sleek MakeUp website or selected Superdrugs. They're £3.99 each.

I think more shades should be sold! Definitely a rich blue/navy and green. I do like though that there is a purple on offer!

This type of eyeliner doesn't seem to be widely available in the UK. I have seen a couple of other brands offering it (The Body Shop did a limited edition version recently), but it's nowhere near as popular as pencils or gel liner.

The liner comes in a lipstick style tube and the liner itself is in a conical shape. It's quite well pointed at the end. This allows for fairly find lines to be drawn when the liner is new. You need to make sure you use the sides of the tip, rather than the very end or else you're going to blunt this liner very quickly. The texture is a little different to what I'm used to, it's almost waxy and creamy.

It definitely smudges well and doesn't seem to set 100%. The black makes a fantastic smokey eye! You can apply on the waterline or as an upper or lower liner. They do go on very smoothly, I barely have to touch the liner to my lids and it's gliding on!

The black is pretty matte, and the purple has a lovely shimmer. I do love how bright the purple liner is! A plum would have been nice as well but I have so many plum liners in my collection and not too many of this lovely bright purple.

It does last quite well on me. It stays on better when I use it as a liner, rather than on my waterline. Even when I use it on my top or bottom lash line, it does smudge and by the end of the day it has faded somewhat from the corners of my eyes.

One of these was provided free for review, I bought the other.
