George @ Asda - The £1.75 Paradoxal Dupe?

Chanel's Paradoxal seemed to be the hottest nail polish ever to hit the blogging world. Let's face it though, it was a gorgeous polish. Murky purpley grey with a hint of a purple flash, just gorgeous. I loved the way it looked in swatches, it was pretty unique. You can see Lipglossiping and Temptalia's swatches to see the actual Chanel version.

Then, at the end of last year, I was mooching around in Selfridges on Oxford Street and ended up at the Chanel counter. They had the tester out and had some in stock so my train of thought went something like "oooh, I see why everyone loves it, pretty. Chanel polish is how much? Eeep" and I didn't buy one.

Under the lighting at the George stand, this looked to be another griege to add to my collection.

It's by George @ Asda and is called Movie Star. These polishes retail for £1.75. They're a bargain, I've got a few. You do only get 5ml, but they have a really great range of colours.

Then, I got it under the lights and saw a purple flash:

I, of course, had to get one. I never bought any of the other dupes. There's one by Barry M and the Revlon one never seemed to make it over to the UK.

Here it is with flash:

And without:

Those are with three coats, it needs those in order to be even and show the bottle colour. Without owning Paradoxal, I can't say how close this is. But I think it's close enough.
