Fleshpot has always been a lipstick I've been interested in trying, but never got around to purchasing. Mainly because it's a Mac Pro shade, and I've never actually been to a MAC Pro store! I got mine in a swap.
I didn't realize how similar it is to Myth. Here they are side by side.
Fleshpot is a satin formula; which isn't my favorite formula.. it tends to be drying for me and tends to make me look dull. It is very pigmented; you'll only need a couple of sweeps for true opacity. It can be used alone, but I find it looks best with a lip gloss over it. Just like MAC Myth, it is a good color to use to tone down colors and for mixing. With a clear gloss, I find that it almost looks like MAC Underage lip glass. I really like it.. but honestly, I wouldn't be able to tell the difference between Fleshpot, Myth or Creme d Nude once on the lips. They all look pretty much the same to me once the clear gloss is applied. It doesn't flatter my skin tone when used alone so I'll be mostly using it with other shades.
I swatched Fleshpot next to Myth and Creme D' Nude. It's quite obvious that Myth and Creme D' Nude are both muted pastel peach-pinks, while Fleshpot is purely a muted pink. Creme D' Nude is almost an exact dupe of Myth, except its not as opaque and it has a glossy finish. Like Fleshpot, Myth is a Satin.
Do you have this shade? Do you like it? What are some of your other favorites?
