I've got a bit of a love affair going on with Wet N Wild right now, they've released some really fantastic palettes over the last year or so. I've got one of the new(ish) trios here, I will be gathering more when I go to Atlanta later in the year! I also have 2 of the 8-pan palettes which I'll be reviewing later.
I'm not sure of pricing or location, but I should imagine under $5 and your local drugstore/Walmart type place. I'm sure someone will be kind enough to leave particulars in the comments, plus I'll make a note when I actually buy some more for you.
The shadows in this trio are marked with where they are supposed to be used and the palette comes complete with instructions. That's pretty impressive for a budget brand. However, I'm not sure I agree with the pink for the browbone, it's really pigmented so it's going to work best on your lid.
The shadows in this palette are very pigmented. The top and bottom shades are metallic in finish and extremely smooth in texture. The middle, darker shade has a little less shimmer and is harder in texture.
Here they are all swatched with a dry brush over an eye shadow primer.
-Browbone - Metallic, sightly frosty mid-toned pink.
-Crease - Deep brown, almost black base with copper shimmer.
-Eyelid - Metallic gold with some brassy tones.
The shadows are crumbly and do kick up a bit of powder. It's best to apply these over an eye shadow primer as that way they last all day on me without creasing.
I used all three shades, plus a highlight for this look. I used the pink shade on my lid, the deep black/brown in my crease and the gold on my lower lashline. It's such an easy look to create, it took all of 5 minutes. I only used Urban Decay Primer Potion as a base as well, these don't even need Pixie Epoxy! I had to be very careful with the black/brown shade as it is simply so pigmented!
These shadows are soft:
This was the first attempt to get some of the 8-pans to me. They did not survive. I tried to rescue them but they were too far gone. This trio survived in one piece though. So be very careful with them, they don't travel well. The second attempt on the 8-pans was more successful, you'll be pleased to know!
